About Hotel

A sanctuary with soul, twelve years in the making.

Sunmeadow began as one weathered beach house and a stubborn idea: that luxury is silence, space and someone remembering your name.

Our Story

Built slowly, the way the coast intended.

The first house went up in 2014 from local stone and reclaimed timber, set back behind the dunes so the banksias could stay. Guests asked to bring their sisters, then their friends — so we added five more houses, each with its own architect, its own garden and its own view of the same endless water.

Nothing here was rushed. The lemon orchard became the restaurant garden. The old boatshed became the spa. And the shoreline path the founders walked each morning is still the walk we recommend first.

01 — Low impact

Gentle on the land

Solar arrays, rainwater gardens and buildings that follow the dunes instead of flattening them. The headland gives the view; we return the favour.

02 — Slow days

Time, unhurried

No queues, no wristbands, no schedules unless you ask. Breakfast when you wake, dinner when the light turns — the day arranges itself.

03 — Remembered

Known by name

One host per villa, from arrival to farewell. Your coffee, your cabana, your anniversary — written down, remembered, waiting.
